The news comes from Variety that Emmy winner Bryan Cranston currently is in negotiations to play the villain in the upcoming remake of the 1990 sci-fi classic, Total Recall.
The actor is best known for his role last decade on the FOX sitcom, Malcolm in the Middle, but lately Cranston has gained a lot more respect in Hollywood after winning the last three Best Actor Emmy’s for his role as a cancer victim/drug dealer named Walter White in AMC’s Breaking Bad. It was that performance that finally put the veteran actor on the map after 26 years of acting.
Should Bryan Cranston officially get the role in Total Recall (2012) then it is yet another movie on the veteran actors busy schedule which includes nine projects that are yet to be released including a supporting role in Larry Crowne which stars Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. Even with the busy actor’s packed list of future and past projects, playing the villain in a Total Recall reboot would be Cranston’s most high profile role to date.
Total Recall (2012) stars Colin Farrell and is slated for release on August 3, 2012.
