FX has acquired two more movies to air in a few years as Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Crazy, Stupid, Love starring Steve Carell and Julianne Moore will make its cable network debut on FX. Crazy, Stupid, Love did pretty decent, but the headline here is Rise of the Planet of the Apes which is quickly becoming the foundation for a potential full blown Planet of the Apes franchise that is to be had.
Other FX movie acquisitions from this past year include Friends With Benefits, Horrible Bosses, Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Bad Teacher, Green Lantern, The Hangover Part II, Rio, Super 8, X-Men: First Class, Just Go With It, The Green Hornet, Tron: Legacy, and Kung Fu Panda 2.
