Deadline is reporting today that Jason Bateman will reunite with his Horrible Bosses director Seth Gordon to star in Identity Theft–a comedy about…well, identity theft. Melissa McCarthy will be Bateman’s co-star in this feature which was initially not the plan. The Arrested Development actor apparently pushed for McCarthy’s addition to the film after seeing her in Bridesmaids.
If all goes well, this might be parlayed into seeing the actress’ addition to Horrible Bosses 2. News broke recently that a sequel effort is in the works, and the film’s second outing will be looking for some quality replacement bosses.
