Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone Could Reunite for “Focus”

Crazy, Stupid, Love may not have been a runaway success, but it did make a pretty sizable chunk of money both at home and abroad while receiving a lot of critical recognition.  That is perhaps why today’s news is somewhat noteworthy.  There are reports surfacing that the feature’s directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are preparing to cast their follow-up called Focus.  The film tells the story of a pair of con artists who become romantically linked resulting in the creation of a bit of drama when the duo unexpectedly meet up at a later date.

Naturally, casting rumors are already abound that the directors will pluck stars from their earlier work for this effort as Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone are very much expected to add the project to their respective resumes.  This would be the third such collaboration between the two as the they are also appearing alongside each other in the Ruben Fleischer-directed Gangster Squad which hits theaters this fall.
