Australian ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Trailer Mocks Dangers of Football

The following Spider-Man trailer has been making the rounds today.  It actually comes from Australia which may or may not explain why it has more subtle humor than the U.S. promos.  Most of the new footage comes in the back half, so go ahead and fast forward to the last minute or so if you have seen a bunch of trailers for this Marc Webb-directed film already.

The football reference at the end might draw some attention from ESPN (or at least make for a good television spot on the network.)  The past few off-seasons have been filled with talk about the hidden dangers of the sport, and Peter Parker outright turns the chance to play down because it’s “too dangerous.”  This part was actually in the 4-minute super trailer so be sure to check that out if you have not already.

Cast members include Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. Look for the film to land in theaters on July 3.
