Kristen Stewart Wants to Sequelize ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’

Kristen Stewart was apparently preparing to do a live Snow White event tonight for MTV when she told E! News something that is not entirely too shocking:  she would be up for doing a sequel to the film that she happens to be promoting.  Of course, the attention here revolves around her Twilight roots in that the Summit-spawned franchise is about to end just while this new potential property tries to get off the ground.  The 22-year-old actress looks to be playing by the George Clooney playbook of doing big budget projects to pay the bills, so that she can afford to do the projects that she loves.

Anyways, this is what the Twilight actress said about doing a sequel to E! Online reporter Marc Malkin:

“I would do it in a heartbeat.  I know with the people involved it would only be done [because] it’s very worthwhile and it’s a good movie. We wouldn’t just be cashing in.”

With an apparent production budget of $170 million, the Rupert Sanders film looks to be in prime position to spawn a sequel as the film is currently tracking north of a $50 million debut weekend in the U.S. alone.  International figures should carry Snow White and the Huntsman to profitability, so a solid North American performance is really just gravy.
