Ridley Scott’s Prometheus seems so mystical that even the presence of countless promos and character featurettes has not managed to provide a clear semblance of what this sci-fi thriller will be like. Is it a prequel to Alien? Yes, but only kind of.
Writer Damon Lindelof (Star Trek, Lost) has been pitching the film to the press where he repeatedly has stated that the movie will be a prequel to the invisible prequel if that helps. Of course, that only lights up minds with the notion of a Prometheus sequel down the road as ordinarily such a description would imply that this is in actuality a prequel offering.
Here are the latest featurettes out for the film. The first one hypes the ‘vision for Prometheus‘ and Ridley Scott’s use of 3D while the second gives us some insight as to the Charlie Holloway character played by Devil actor Logan Marshall-Green.
Other cast members in Prometheus include Idris Elba, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, and Noomi Rapace. June 8th is the release date.
