New Movie Trailer for ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ Works Historical Angle

Yes, Tim Burton’s next movie may seem like a gimmick on paper, but this book-spawned film dubbed Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter might turn out to be far more than that.  There is a new trailer out today for the horror feature minus the red-band which is definitely worth the view.  It takes a more epic story telling approach than the action-packed nature of the earlier spots which gives us some time to really think about seeing this movie in theaters.

More specifically, this trailer takes a bit of a harder look at the historical roots of the property even though it is based on a work of fiction.  Maybe Fox believes this Timur Bekmambetov-directed thriller has what takes to succeed on its story, and that is why the violent nature is being downplayed this time around.  I guess we will find out on June 22nd when Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter lands in theaters.

If you are curious as to what the heck I am referring to in regards to these ‘earlier, more action-packed spots,’ then look no further than the Vampire Hunter red-band trailer that hit the web just last week.
