Showtime’s Dexter has become known over the years for its ability to enlist top notch guest stars, so today’s news is that they have done it again. This time around, the serial killer drama cast Chuck alumna Yvonne Strahovski in a multi-episode story arc in which she will fill the role of Hannah McKay. The character is a being described as a strong and independent woman struggling to escape her troubled past. More specifically, McKay will play someone who Miami Metro Homicide brings in to help solve old cases.
Such a role will be the first time Strahovski has done anything on the television side of things after the ending of NBC’s Chuck which ran for five seasons. On the show, she played CIA agent Sarah Walker who was the chief love interest of the title character.
As for the theatrical side of things, the actress is set for roles in The Guild Trip (2012) and I, Frankenstein (2013.) The former is potentially the more noteworthy of the two as it is set up as a road trip comedy starring Seth Rogen and Barbara Streisand from The Proposal director Anne Fletcher. I, Frankenstein on the other hand has Strahovski starring alongside Aaron Eckhart in a horror thriller set against the backdrop of a centuries-old turf war between immortal clans.
