Behold, the first trailer for Taken 2 starring Liam Neeson. This is the sequel to the movie that launched the veteran actor’s action career, so there are some high hopes from this one even though sequels out of Luc Besson’s production studio tend to be lackluster at best.
It certainly did not help a few months ago when the plot was revealed to be a full reverse from the original in the plainest terms, but perhaps this trailer will help us understand the movie is far from a starring role for Maggie Grace after all. Pretty much we can expect the same level of kick ass from Neeson this time around as it is his ex-wife Lenore played by Famke Janssen who is the victim and not necessarily both him and his wife as was previously suggested.
Directing this time around is Olivier Megaton who is taking over for Pierre Morel, Luc Besson is still writing, and the cast is of course reprising. Look for Taken 2 to hit theaters on October 5.
