The trailer just hit for Joe Wright’s Anna Karenina starring Keira Knightley, Kelly MacDonald, Aaron Johnson, and Jude Law. For those of your unfamiliar with the film, it puts Knightley in late-19th century high-society Russia as the aristocrat Anna Karenina who engages in a love affair with Count Vronsky (Aaron Johnson.)
This project is based on Leo Tolstoy’s classic novel by the same name. Charged with adapting it to the big screen was Tom Stoppard who also scribed Shakespeare in Love.
We expect big things from the film come award season as the tandem of director Joe Write and Keira Knightley has proven successful in the past via Atonement and Pride & Prejudice. Look for Anna Karenina to land in theaters on November 9.
