Maura Tierney Gets Political with ‘Good Wife’ Guest Spot

CBS opened the week by announcing some fairly big casting news for fans of the critically-acclaimed drama The Good Wife.  Apparently, several times over recurring guest star Maura Tierney is at it again with a multi-episode story arc for the 2012-13 season.  That is not all though as the broadcaster also revealed that British actor Marc Warren would also show up several times throughout the course of the program’s fourth year on the air.

NEW YORK, June 25, 2012 — Emmy Award-nominated actress Maura Tierney (“ER,” “Rescue Me”) and British actor Marc Warren (“Hustle,” “Mad Dog”) have both been cast in recurring roles in season four of THE GOOD WIFE. Both actors will appear in the season premiere in September.

Warren will play Kalinda’s (Archie Panjabi) manipulative ex-husband, to whom she has an attraction that she finds impossible to ignore.

Tierney will play a self-made millionaire who has become the doyenne of Chicago Democratic politics.

THE GOOD WIFE, which stars Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Julianna Margulies, is one of television’s most critically acclaimed dramas.  In addition to receiving nine 2011 Primetime Emmy nominations, the most for a broadcast network series, the drama has won or been nominated for multiple awards, including the Peabody Awards, the Golden Globe Awards, the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the People’s Choice Awards.  THE GOOD WIFE airs Sundays (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
