John Stamos may not be known for his performances on the film side of the industry, but the actor does occasionally add to that portion of his resume which brings us today’s news. The actor has been enlisted to join the indie comedy My Man Is a Loser. The project is about two men (Michael Rappaport and Bryan Callen) trying to be better spouses. Stamos will be tasked with playing their playboy friend trying to help the two recapture their spark.
Mike Young will be directing from his own script that he wrote as his follow-up to the indie drama Quad which he co-wrote. That film is about a hard-living salesman who becomes a quadriplegic after an accident (thus the title,) and it stars Emmy-winner Aaron Paul alongside Jeff Daniels.
This addition to the film will make it Stamos’ first theatrical role since the poorly-received indie comedy Father of Invention which starred Kevin Spacey and Camilla Belle. Of course, most people will not think of that as the last time they saw him though as the actor has done a lot of time as of late on Fox’s Glee via a recurring guest spot.
