Earlier today, The Dark Knight Rises tickets went on sale over a month before the theatrical release of the film. The reason being was because Warner Bros. want to capitalize on strong sentiment for the film already by answering the early demand from moviegoers. It might be worth the effort to check out these pre-purchase opportunities as the movie is expected to pack the theaters all opening weekend with an expected $180+ million North American debut in the absence of 3D ticket premiums. In other words, analysts expect this movie to sell more tickets than The Avengers if not just as many.
To advertise these advance ticket sales, a new television spot started airing which actually says that the option is now available. Here it is for your viewing pleasure. It is worth a look as there is some footage not in the trailers that may be new to most of you.
Cast members for The Dark Knight Rises includes Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, and Gary Oldman among others. The film hits theaters on July 20.
