The MTV Movie Awards tonight saw the premiere of a trailer for a new film based on the book The Perks of Being a Wallflower. In addition to being the unique case of having a director who happened to be the book’s author, this movie also has Emma Watson in it. Most people will remember her from Harry Potter, but many movie buffs will also acknowledge this is just one more attempt by the actress to branch out as audiences last saw her in the critically applauded My Week with Marilyn. The drama also stars Ezra Miller (We Need to Talk About Kevin) and Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson) with a small part going to Paul Rudd who plays an English teacher in this one.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower definitely is interesting, so keep an eye out for it come September 14 when it hits theaters.
