Perhaps it was the success of Prometheus’ recent viral marketing campaign, but now the stunt is being mirrored a tad for a not-so-science fiction film. This time around, Oliver Stone’s Savages is getting the treatment complete with what are being called “interrogation videos.” Taylor Kitsch and Blake Lively are among the film’s stars taking part in these, so be sure to take a look.
Savages centers around two pot growers (Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson) who go head-to-head with a Mexican drug cartel who kidnaps their shared girlfriend. While this does not exactly lend itself to such a campaign, Universal deserves credit for at least trying.
Additional cast members include Trevor Donovan, John Travolta, Salma Hayek, and Benicio Del Toro among others. Look for the film to hit theaters on July 6.
