Damages returns to DirecTV tonight for its fifth and final season. Perhaps the premiere will get a ratings bump now that 20 million households do not have Viacom channels to choose from, but that is another story. Instead, let’s focus on the last hurrah for this series once admired as one of the best on television. The show is responsible for launching the career of Rose Byrne and is best known for its A-grade guest stars, so hopefully the final curtain will not drop to an empty theater (metaphorically speaking of course.)
