Joel McHale to Play Con Man in ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Season Five

The upcoming fifth season of Sons of Anarchy has landed yet another big guest star.  Community actor Joel McHale has been tapped to do a multi-episode story arc on the series in which he will play a con man by the name of Warren.  Apparently, he double-crosses the wrong person so we expect him to be dead by year’s end as that is how these sort of things play out on SoA.

This should prove very interesting as it is always fun to see McHale appear in other things besides Community.  His most recent supporting gig was in the box office hit Ted as Mila Kunis’ boss who attempts to steal her away from Mark Wahlberg.  Even though his character was meant to be more of a classic, disgusting B-antagonist, his part was actually one of the many little gems in the feature about a pot-smoking teddy bear.

TV Line says that there are no other details to report on at this time, but he will likely be working with Katey Sagal as the actress tweeted out a photo with McHale prior to the weekend.  The host of The Soup joins previously announced guest stars Ashley Tisdale and Jimmy Smitts.  The former will be playing a high-priced escort while the latter will have a much bigger arc as a Latino gangbanger.

Sons of Anarchy returns to FX with a 90-minute fifth season premiere on September 11, 2012.
