Latest Trailer for ‘The Campaign’ Showcases Classic Ferrell

There is a new, abbreviated trailer out for The Campaign that is worth the view for anyone looking at screening the movie come August.  The new footage in this one shows off some classic Will Ferrell shtick even when the spotlight shines on Zach Galifianakis, making this definitely a film to see for fans of the former-SNL cast member.  This should go a long way for those of you who were really bummed that Adam McKay did not get in the director’s chair for this one.

On that note, the opposite goes for Jay Roach who did actually helm the political comedy.  You can barely tell he has his hands on it which may or may not be a good thing depending where you lean.  Hit the jump for the one-minute spot that premiered in theaters along with The Dark Knight Rises.

For those unfamiliar with the plot, the movie centers on two rival politicians from North Carolina vying for the same political post.  Each candidate has presidential aspirations allowing for things to get a whole lot bigger than the typical race for congress.   Supporting roles go to Dylan McDermott and Jason Sudeikis who play campaign managers for their respective candidates.

The Campaign hits theaters nationwide on August 10.
