Sigourney Weaver has a new drama coming out called Political Animals in which she plays Secretary of State Elaine Barrish. 
The actress sat down this morning with Savannah Guthrie to talk about the project as well as her favorite character to play through the years. It seems a bit confusing the way this is being marketed, but it would appear that aside from being an ‘event series,’ it is also a regular series meaning there may be another season of Political Animals should this go well. Of course, that might have to shoot around the upcoming Avatar sequels which are expected to be made back-to-back-to-back.
Look for the series premiere of Political Animals on USA Network this Sunday at 10/9 c.
