With the Jack Ryan reboot set to release next Christmas, the Kenneth Branagh-directed feature is now in production and that is why today we are privy to the first image of Chris Pine in CIA mode…again. It is not much to look at early on as it really is just his character riding a fancy motorcycle, but guess what other movie did he put a lot of horse power between his legs. The J.J. Abrams Star Trek reboot and that one turned out pretty good for him. Considering Pine does not have a laundry list of credentials, it now certainly appears as if the actor is being typecast as ‘the guy who rides motorcycles.’ It is kind of weird, but we will go with it.
Additional cast members in the film are Keira Knightley, Kevin Costner, and Kenneth Branagh. Jack Ryan is set to launch a trilogy on December 25, 2013.
