Daniel Craig Promises ‘Skyfall’ Won’t Be Flag-Wavingly British in Latest Video Blog

The next Bond film will spend a lot of time in London–a rarity for the series that is often defined by its protagonist’s globetrotting behavior.  Of course, this is a major metropolitan city and with that comes certain logistical problems as with any film’s production…unless it happens to be a Bond movie.  Skyfall’s latest video blog covers just that as director Sam Mendes and franchise star Daniel Craig talk about the benefits and drawbacks of shooting in the capital.

Perhaps the best thing to come from this video is that Daniel Craig flat out says that this will not be a flag-waving spectacle (I guess he is talking about the London Olympics opening ceremony.)  Furthermore, he talked about this being Bond’s home which will undoubtedly add some significant emotional depth to the feature.

Cast members include Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, and Ola Rapace.  Skyfall releases into theaters nationwide on November 9.
