We are about a week away from the nationwide release of John Hillcoat’s Lawless–a film about a true story covering a bootlegging Virginia family’s run in with the law during Prohibition. The feature has quite the cast headlined by Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy who is coming hot off his gig as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises. A trailer just hit the web tonight of the red-band variety to help drum up some buzz prior to release. It should shed a little bit of light on the story and overall vibe of the film for those who were uncertain of what to expect.
Stars of the film include Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Guy Pearce, Shia LaBeouf, Jessica Chastain, and Mia Wasikowska. The movie releases into theaters on August 29.
