For those of you who have not been able to see Steven Soderbergh’s Haywire and therefore did not yet witness former MMA fighter Gina Carano in an action film, you have no idea how excited you really should be for today’s first glimpse at Fast and the Furious 6. Cast member Dwayne Johnson tweeted an image out today of him chilling out on the set with Carano who will be playing Luke Hobbs’ second in command. There is literally no spoiler here unless arm folding is a major plot development.
We already know a handful of things about this film, but that is perhaps generous as we do not know much at all. This one will be set in Europe and involves dueling heist teams as well as the return of Michelle Rodriguez’s Letty. Considering the sixth installment in this series is due out Memorial Day Weekend next year, expect a whole lot to come to light shortly especially because the project is now shooting.
Additional cast members for Fast and the Furious 6 include Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, and Tyrese Gibson. Luke Evans was previously announced as the film’s central antagonist.
