Today has graced us with the presence of a much more dramatic Looper trailer than what we are used to as an international spot has hit the web. This one focuses much more on the actual setup of the Rian Johnson movie’s central gimmick of using time travel to conceal hits by the mob. It also suggests a level of character development to go with the heavy action which would undoubtedly be welcome.
For those of you still wondering what’s up with Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s face, he is set to play a younger version of Bruce Willis and rather than have the older of the two try to look more like Levitt, the film’s makers opted to prosthetic up Gordon-Levitt. Even though similarities are tough to see between the pair, it does help sell the actor’s character as a cold-hearted killer.
The cast includes Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, and Jeff Daniels. Looper releases into theaters on September 28.
