Jason Statham was out doing a little late promotion for The Expendables 2 yesterday as the Transporter star showed up on The Tonight Show. When on the program, the actor talked about the cast and how he got involved. Apparently, a request from Sylvester Stallone is all it took for him to say yes to playing Lee Christmas in the action ensemble series.
Additional conversation centered on the series’ prospects for a third outing and Statham seemed unsure. Perhaps he missed the news a few days ago that Nicolas Cage was already on board or he was playing it cautious as to not say anything that would get him in hot water with producers. Either way, it definitely sounds like he will be attached to The Expendables 3 should it happen.
