The first trailer has been released for Jee-woon Kim’s The Last Stand starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. This movie centers on a law enforcement officer who moves out to a much tamer small town only to find himself in the midst of some serious stuff as a drug cartel leader makes a run for the Mexican border.
For the most part, this film looks to be everything that you would expect: Schwarzenegger with some big guns, massive one-liners, and self-deprecation at the actor’s age. This could easily end up being a bit slow moving, but if there is enough action in the flick to go around then it should be an easy win for Lionsgate who is distributing the former Governor’s first solo project in years.
Other stars in the film are Forest Whitaker and Johnny Knoxville. The Last Stand releases into theaters on January 18, 2013.
