Check out the trailer for The Hole from director Joe Dante. The mind behind Gremlins and Small Soldiers is at it again with another fantasy thriller. This effort has a few brothers stumbling across a hole in their basement which leads to their fears, nightmares, and all sorts of good scary stuff.
What you can tell from the trailer is that this is almost marketed like an R-rated horror comedy would be despite its PG-13 nature and youthful cast. Perhaps the film’s theatrical delay was because of this seemingly large promotional problem. This effort was actually ready to go three years ago. Critics who already saw the movie say its a winner.
Stars of the film include Teri Polo, Bruce Dern, Chris Massoglia, Haley Bennett and Nathan Gamble. The Hole is set to enter theaters on September 28.
