The first red-band trailer has just landed for the R-rated bridal comedy Bachelorette. The film may be an on-demand release with a limited theatrical bow, but this certainly looks to be a bit more than your typical Bridesmaids knockoff. Starring Kristen Dunst, Isla Fisher, and Lizzy Caplan, the film is about three girls asked to be bridesmaids for the woman they used to ridicule in high school.
If that is not enough to sell you on it, producing Leslye Headland’s directorial debut is Adam McKay and Will Ferrell. Who knows if they just financed it for the credit or actually worked on the project to some degree, but the fact they are attaching their names to it should go a long way with a whole chunk of people.
Enjoy the first trailer where you get to see an Adam Scott appearance and two girls rip the wedding dress for the bride. It is okay though because they seemingly find a replacement which only has a little bit of blood and semen on it.
Bachelorette releases on-demand on August 10. The big screen debut is scheduled for September 7.
