We are about a solid month away from the release of The Avengers on Blu-Ray and DVD. The Blu-Ray has the extras, so that is what is being advertised here with the following featurettes which hit the net earlier in the week. Castings of Mark Ruffalo and Chris Evans take center stage in the first of the videos with the big news being that Ruffalo was director Joss Whedon’s first choice for the role of Hulk.
The second video explains a lot about Marvel’s work on getting the design for the Helicarrier right. Something not mentioned here that has been brought up in other interviews was that the reason so much time was spent on the aerial base was because this would be used for a long line of films. In other words, expect it to return in The Avengers 2 which is due out on May 1, 2015.
The Avengers hits store shelves on September 25, 2012.
