One of the more interesting low-key projects out there right now is the family-feuding dramedy The Oranges that features two very close families. The kicker is that one day Hugh Laurie’s character David Walling enters in a romantic relationship with his neighbor and best friend’s daughter which should add a high degree of situational humor. While it was not originally clear, this is certainly an R-rated comedy thus today’s red-band trailer reveal.
This is certainly a treat for those who witnessed the first trailer and were expecting something a bit more light-hearted. Not only do we see new footage, but also a closer look at how David Walling gets involved with Leighton Meester’s Nina Ostroff. We also get to hear some vulgarity from Allison Janney at the end which is flat out awesome.
Stars of the Julian Farino-directed film include Allison Janney, Adam Brody, Oliver Platt, Leighton Meester, and Catherine Keener. The release date for The Oranges is scheduled for October 5.
