House actor Hugh Laurie has a new film coming out next month called The Oranges, so the actor is ramping up a press tour to promote the project. This Julian Farino-directed project has the former crippled television doctor in a dramedy as a guy who becomes romantically involved with his best friend’s daughter–an interesting situational comedy setup that fans of the thespian are eager to see especially considering Laurie will be diving back into his sketch comedy roots for this one.
Needless to say, that was a major topic of conversation when the actor took to Jimmy Fallon Friday night which may shed light on how House managed to keep such a dark drama light-hearted all those years. He also talked about the movie, screened its first clip, and played a game of Cricket Home Run Derby with the host.
The Oranges hits theaters on October 5.
