Until the release of Looper today, the best reviewed movie of the fall was last week’s End of Watch. With that in mind, we are not exactly stunned to see some overtime promotion by its star Jake Gyllenhaal for the David Ayer crime thriller. The actor took to Conan last night where he explained his prep work for the film included five months of ride-alongs and getting beat up by 17-20-year-olds. Beyond that, he discussed the true pronunciation of his Swedish last name.
End of Watch hit theaters nationwide last week to a number one ranking at the box office with $13 million in its first three days of release.
