‘Saturday Night Live’ Responds to Romney Recording with ‘Fox and Friends’ Sketch

On Thursday night, NBC kicked off this year’s run of Weekend Update in primetime, done specifically to capitalize on the political atmosphere from the upcoming presidential election.  The long-running sketch series certainly had a treat to play with during the week when a video recording hit the net that captured Romney in a candid moment with campaign donors.  Naturally, that was not saved for Saturday’s Joseph Gordon-Levitt-hosted episode as Weekend Update chose to begin with a Fox and Friends sketch complete with Taran Killam, Vanessa Bayer, and Bobby Moynihan playing the program’s anchors.  Also in on the fun was Jason Sudeikis who reprised his role as Republican Candidate for President Mitt Romney.
