We end a very soft news day with the initial unofficial photo grabs from the set of Darren Aronfsky’s Noah. Courtesy of Splash, audiences get to see a grizzly-looking Russell Crowe set to act in the biblical epic. The actor’s shaved head and grey, bushy beard is transformative to say the least, and might just be one of the most brazen ‘for-film’ makeovers of the year. Let’s be honest though, it is still not as crazy as Matthew McConaughey’s drastic weight loss for his upcoming indie.
Also caught on camera were the gladiator’s co-stars Emma Watson and Jennifer Connelly, but each were a bit covered up to say the least. We look forward to seeing official photos shortly as production looks to be in full gear. Look for the feature to hit theaters on March 28, 2014.
The following is the official poster put out by Paramount in August to promote the film which suggests Crowe’s Noah will in fact have hair at some point in the big budget production.
