The marketing campaign is starting to ramp up for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey which is now about 50 days from theatrical release. Behold, the first television spot for the Peter Jackson-direct film that will mark the beginning of a trilogy of prequel offerings to The Lord of the Rings series. Nothing too new to see, but hit the jump to check it out anyways.
The Hobbit’s stars include include Luke Evans, Elijah Wood, Martin Freeman, Cate Blanchett, Evangeline Lilly, Ian Holm, Orlando Bloom, Hugo Weaving, Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis, Christopher Lee, and Billy Connolly. An Unexpected Journey releases into theaters nationwide on December 14, 2012.
