Preview Clips for October 7th Episode of ‘Dexter,’ Plus Weeks Ahead Trailer

The seventh season of Dexter is now in full swing with the premiere having wow’d last night.  This year promises to feature more classic Dexter with more serial murders than last and a whole lot of intense acting from Jennifer Carpenter, so fans should be happy about where things are headed.  If you are still weighing whether this could turn out to be a ‘jump the shark’ moment for this high-rated drama, there are a few clips and a ‘weeks ahead’ trailer that Showtime just put out for the next few weeks.

The first clip appears to follow the final scene from this week’s show with Debra (Carpenter) finding out that Dexter (Michael C. Hall) was lying about the Travis murder being a one-time, freak occurrence.  This is certainly a loaded advance look as it pretty much confirms Debra has made the Bay Harbor Butcher connection with her adopted brother.  As for clip number two, that one has Deb debriefing the team at Miami Metro and slamming the door shut on Dexter’s serial killing ambitions.  For more on that, catch the last video here that shows that she will essentially be babysitting her brother to make sure he does not give in to his ‘dark passenger’ again.

Dexter airs Sunday nights on Showtime.
