Alas, there is a new movie coming out with Mark Wahlberg, and we have the trailer to prove it. Kicking off what aims to be a very jam-packed 2013 for the star of The Fighter will be a partnership with Russell Crowe in the Allen Hughes-directed Broken City. The movie is a crime thriller that has Crowe playing a mayor using an ex-cop (Wahlberg) to seemingly pull himself out of a potential scandal, but seeing how he is the villain we probably know how this one ends.
It is also worth mentioning here that this will be Crowe’s first movie since December’s Les Miserables. The Gladiator actor could be up for some awards on that one, so January might just be more Crowe-filled than most.
Stars of the film include Mark Wahlberg, Russell Crowe, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Kyle Chandler. Broken City releases into theaters on January 18, 2013.
