One of the big movies coming out next month is Jack Reacher–a film that aims to launch another Tom Cruise-led action franchise from a property previously successfully in another form. Christopher McQuarrie who also wrote Valkyrie managed to helm this one which is expected to receive great reviews, and that is why we are paying attention. McQuarrie is not only the frontrunner to direct Mission: Impossible 5, but he is also reportedly already signed on to do behind-the-camera duty on Paramount’s Jack Ryan spin-off Without Remorse. In other words, we should get familiar with the man’s work because odds are we will start to see a lot of it soon enough.
