Here is the moment when you find out that your hardcore love for Game of Thrones was simply that belonging to the core story’s prelude. Executive producer David Benioff opens the first featurette for the series’ third season by saying that he has been anticipating this moment in the program since the fantasy series’ inception. That is pretty much the tone the rest of the behind-the-scenes video takes, so just to translate: “Hype Hype Hype. Tune in when we return at the end of March.” What’s more is that is works.
Thanks to the following footage we get to see a ton of new locations and non-direct feed footage. There is no official trailer just yet, but this is a whole lot better than last year where audiences hardly received any so be thankful for the advance look at Peter Dinklage’s new look. For those of you who have forgotten, his Tyrion Lannister character received a face slashing during the Battle of Blackwater.
