Next year promises to be jam-packed with Dwayne Johnson who has a four-picture slate front-loaded with three films in the first four months of the year: Snitch, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and Pain & Gain. That first one is in our crosshairs today because we received yet another poster with the former wrestler front and center, spouting the tagline, “how far would you go to save your son?” This of course alludes to the fact that The Rock plays an informant that gets in deep with some serious criminals as part of a plea deal with the feds to get his son out of prison. This may appear more like the failed actioner Faster to some of you, but we hold high hopes for this one because the script comes from The Lone Ranger scribe Justin Haythe whose credits also include Revolutionary Road. Directing is former stuntman Ric Roman Waugh.
Snitch opens February 22.
