Latest ‘Les Miserables’ TV Spots Claim ‘Greatest Musical of All-Time’

What says “joy” like the perils of post-revolution era 19th century France?  Nothing, according to the latest spots for Tom Hooper’s Oscar-baiting musical Les Miserables.  There are two more ads out today that not-so-subtly tout the film’s musical credentials and Academy Award aspirations which the audience is still gobbling up, but not as much as they were a month ago.  Since reviews have surfaced, many are finding out that the movie’s director fell short of expectations with merely a ‘decent’ movie as opposed to the best of the year.  That title goes to Zero Dark Thirty which the vast majority of critics agree on.  The only question now is will Anne Hathaway’s head-shaving result in some serious recognition come February or was it a complete waste of time.

Cast members include Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Helena Bonham Carter, and Sacha Baron Cohen.  Les Miserables releases into theaters on Christmas Day.
