The surprise of the month so far has to be the positive early reception for Judd Apatow’s This Is Forty. It is not that audiences have given up faith on the comedy producer who seems to direct hit after hit, but this was more of a knock against the film’s often hokey ad campaign that looks lost in time to what a rom-com would appear to be nearly a decade ago. Thankfully, our fears were not realized as another solid effort from Apatow will arrive in theaters this holiday season.
Here is one of the first clips to hit the web where Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann are having a casual conversation in bed where they reveal their plans to murder each other. Mann’s weapon of choice? A slow-acting poison. Upon hear that, Rudd cites the movie Fargo for his inspiration. Enjoy.
