Liam Neeson is a certifiable cash cow even as he ages past 60. The veteran actor’s latest movie Taken 2 found $367 million at the global box office, and that means a whole lot for pics where Neeson has a gun. Having said that, his action follow-up actually had the star on board the project even before the Europa production resonated with theatergoers worldwide which should come as a boon to everyone involved.
His next popcorn feature in the genre will be a film called Non-Stop in which Neeson plays a burned-out air marshal who treats his job as more of a desk job. There is a new photo from the thriller today, suggesting a trailer could come into view sooner rather than later although filming is still said to be on-going. Our first look has our hero, Liam Neeson’s Bill Marks, with a gun while the passengers are raising their hands for some reason. Hit the jump for the full view.
Directing the pic is Jaume Collet-Serra (Unknown) from a script by Christopher Roach and John W. Richardson. Oscar-nominated actress Julianne Moore is signed on the project in a supporting role.
Non-Stop is set for release later this year.
