The first official photos for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire have hit the web. While everyone knew the film was in production as early as a few months ago, there has not been an incredible amount of leaked set photos (which is probably unnecessary because the source material is already published,) so this is certainly welcomed by fans of the series. Francis Lawrence is directing this one after the original franchise director Gary Ross exited, and as you will see Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson still have starring roles.
The rest of the cast list includes Elizabeth Banks, Liam Hemsworth, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, and Woody Harrelson reprising their roles from The Hunger Games. Additions include Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair; Jena Malone as Johanna Mason; Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee; Jeffrey Wright as Beetee; and Amanda Plummer as Wiress. Release is slated for November 22.
