In some late-breaking news tonight, it seems Charlize Theron has booked a follow-up for Mad Max: Fury Road. The Oscar-winning actress has been tapped to star across from Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane in the live-action film A Million Ways to Die in the West, making this comedy a whole lot more acceptable given MacFarlane, who is to lead the feature, is best known for his voice-over talents.
THR says the Prometheus star is in final negotiations to join the Blazing Saddles-style pic which the Ted director will helm. Theron will play the wife of a notorious outlaw who crosses paths with a sheepish farmer (MacFarlane.) She offers to teach him to shoot, and trouble occurs when the outlaw ventures back into view.
This picture should happen shortly as Seth is already booked for a sequel to Ted which will presumably begin filming once Transformers 4 wraps. That project from Michael Bay stars Mark Wahlberg, thus the delay.
