In what amounts to a huge deal for Facebook addicts everywhere, FarmVille is finally receiving the small screen treatment it deserves. Six Eleven Media has teamed with X-Men: The Last Stand director Brett Ratner to produce a half-hour animated series based on the iconic social networking brand. No network has stepped in just yet, but that is only because things are still in the early going.

This will be added to the pile of upcoming projects from the Tower Heist helmer which is top-lined by Hercules starring Dwayne Johnson due out next summer. His most recent feature credit may have been a segment in Movie 43, but nobody is holding the flop against him. Instead they are still whining about what he did to the original X-Men trilogy.
