Today’s obligatory Oscars announcement includes special guests for which we have no context. The Academy has revealed that Charlize Theron, Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Daniel Radcliffe will all be appearing at their big event on February 24. This probably means they will be introducing segments, but there is always the possibility that the actors could take part in some pre-taped bit from host Seth MacFarlane. Previously announced celebrity appearances for the event include The Avengers, Meryl Streep, Mark Wahlberg, and Ted the CGI teddy bear.
BEVERLY HILLS, CA – The Oscars will feature special appearances by Academy Award® winner Charlize Theron, Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Daniel Radcliffe at the upcoming Awards ceremony.
“We are quite excited to have Charlize, Chan, Joe and Dan join us on the show,” said telecast producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. “We are happy to feature them as special guests in our production.”
This will be Gordon-Levitt, Radcliffe and Tatum’s first time appearing on the Oscar show.
