There is first photo reveal this afternoon (via THR) on a project we have heard very little if not nothing about. The film is an espionage thriller called A Most Wanted Man from The American helmer Anton Corbijn. Post-production is already underway as shooting has wrapped on the pic that stars Philip Seymour Hoffman alongside Rachel McAdams.
Additional stars for the feature include Willem Dafoe and Robin Wright. It is the latter that might possibly draw some extra attention as she is coming off a performance in House of Cards that could land her an Emmy nomination. Wright plays House Majority Whip Francis Underwood’s wife on the Netflix series which just premiered online last Friday.
As for the project itself, the plot has a mysterious Eastern European man surfacing in Hamburg’s Islamic community in need of assistance. The young man connects with a private banker and a young female lawyer during the pursuit of his late father’s fortune. A thriller aspect of all this is seeded in the question as to this character’s true intentions all while a German spy chief (Hoffman) works to put the pieces together as ‘the clock ticks.
