Jennifer Aniston appears to have landed the lead in another movie. Reports are surfacing that she has been attached to Peter Bogdanovich’s package for She’s Funny That Way (formerly titled Squirrel to the Nuts) which stars the combination of Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman, Cybil Shepherd, Eugene Levy, Kathryn Hahn, and Brie Lawson. This project has actually been around for a while, but since we have not spoken on the matter for quite some time it is probably worth the quick recap.
She’s Funny That Way centers on a married Broadway director helping a prostitute advance her acting career. Aniston’s role will be that of a therapist. Wilson will be taking the spot as director and Brie Larson (who we know from the female lead in 21 Jump Street) will (at least we assume) be playing the former prostitute.
This follows last Wednesday’s news that had the Friends alumna joining the cast of Convention opposite Ben Kingsley. Aniston has been working on stockpiling gigs as of late as she is quickly running out of them. The Just Go with It star already shot the Jason Sudeikis pot-muling comedy We’re the Millers and is currently filming an untitled crime comedy from director Daniel Schechter, but her only project beyond that (until recently) was a dramedy called Miss You Already–something we first heard about this time last year.
